How to Crochet Easy Wallet/Purse
This lovely crochet wallet is small enough to carry with you. The dual pocket interior allows for plenty of space to store driver’s license, credit cards, business cards, cash and the button clasp keeps everything inside.
This pattern is very easy and quick. I used macrame yarn, which is very strong and durable. You can also use T-shirt yarn, or cotton yarn.
Trying different color combinations is so much fun!
You will need: One skein Macrame yarn N3 Small zipper Magnetic snaps 4 mm crochet hook
Skill level: experienced beginner
Stitches used: ch - chain, sc - single crochet
1)Chain 12 2)2 sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in next 9 stitches, 2 sc in last stitch. Work into the oppostite side of the foundation chain. 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 9, 2 sc in last sc (28 stitches) 3)-10) From round 3 - to round 10: sc in next 28 sc (28)
This will create first pocket. If you want to make it longer, just add more rounds.
Continue working in rows.
1) chain 1, turn, sc in next 13 2) chain 1, turn, sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in next 11
Cut the yarn and fasten off.
Make second pocket exactly the same way but DO NOT cut the yarn at the end. I made it with different color yarn.
Place pockets together and sc through both pockets. Cut the yarn and fasten off. Weave in all the ends.
Finishing: Sew zipper on one pocket. Attach magnetic snaps.
You can also sew on little applique, which will give your wallet lovely look.
